Keylela Effect will, in the near future, have a new Moon Lodge that will be out on the Land, which will be completely self-sustained by utilizing off-the-grid technology. This new state-of-the-art building design will be informed by our Matriarchal Elders and Knowledge Keepers.

My Life has been shaped by many Paths, marked by childhood trauma in a family affected by alcoholism, abuse, and violence. At thirteen, I escaped to the streets of Vancouver. These experiences left traits that both helped and hindered my growth. By the Creator's Grace, I survived.
At 24, I married and had my first child, Megan Courtney Andrew, in 1993. Realizing my addictions could cause me to lose her, I entered recovery. Megan's birth felt like a second chance, leading me to self-rediscovery and renewed Spirit. Megan, my beautiful Keylela (Butterfly), symbolizes the transformative power of Love and resilience in my Life.
My research Pathways were shaped by influences from my Grandma’s kitchen table, family, holistic healing books, Indigenous Teachings, Elders, Mentors, Storytelling, Ceremony, Talking Circles, community events, workshops, formal education, and Life experiences.
The Keylela Effect Moon Lodge Society was created to provide Indigenous Women a space to reconnect with their cultural identities, heal from trauma, and embrace Traditional Teachings. Its mission is to Inspire, Nurture & Transform the lives of Women through Ceremonies that are woven with Indigenous Teachings.

‘Key-LEE-la’ is...
The Skwxwû7mesh (Squamish) word for Butterfly, a symbol of hope & transformation.
